       Delta Airlines Established in 1928 (asDeltaAirService). In 2008, Delta Air Lines merged with Northwest Airlines to form Delta Air Lines and its headquarters in Atlanta and Minnesota. Delta Air Lines is the third-largest airline in the United States. It is headquartered in Atlanta and has nearly 700 aircraft, with more than 75,000 employees worldwide. As a founding member of SkyTeam, Delta offers more than 13,000 flights a day to its passengers and Delta's aviation hubs at airports around the world. Delta's industry-leading global network covers 351 destinations in 64 countries on six continents.
