Metro Express DR Congo Branch (In Preparation) Team Visits Rwanda Branch to Strengthen Business Operations in East Africa
Recently, the Metro Express DR Congo branch (in preparation) team visited the Rwanda branch for an insightful learning and exchange program.
This visit aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the trade and transportation dynamics between the East Africa region and China, as well as to master the specific procedures and key considerations involved in transshipment from Rwanda to DR Congo.
Under the guidance and detailed explanation of Mr. Shema, Regional General Manager for East Africa, the team systematically studied Rwanda’s role as a logistics hub,
gaining in-depth knowledge of freight operations, customs clearance processes, and cross-border transportation mechanisms in the East African region. Additionally,
they explored various transshipment models from Rwanda to DR Congo and analyzed real case studies to focus on route planning, customs requirements, and risk management strategies, laying a solid foundation for future business operations.
This exchange not only enhanced the DR Congo branch (in preparation) team’s understanding of the logistics framework in East Africa but also reinforced Metro Express’s business expansion in the region.
Moving forward, the company will continue to strengthen its operational capabilities in East Africa, optimize cross-border trade solutions, and provide more efficient and secure international logistics services to its clients.
